Acikogretim.gen.tr

In November 2019 the Turkish educational portal Acikogretim.gen.tr suffered a data breach. An unauthorized third party successfully hacked the system and extracted a database containing user information. The compromised data includes usernames, IP addresses, and passwords stored as MD5 hashes with salt. Approximately 210000 records were leaked and subsequently shared on the dark web and hacker forums. This incident exposed students and visitors of the site to potential credential stuffing attacks and unauthorized account access.
