In December 2019 the sports news and betting platform Action Network suffered a data breach affecting approximately 693000 users. The incident involved the exposure of sensitive user information potentially due to a vulnerability in the web infrastructure. Leaked data included personal identifiers and security credentials such as Bcrypt hashed passwords. The breach was significant as it impacted a large portion of the sites active community at the time exposing them to potential credential stuffing attacks and phishing attempts.
