In November 2020 the flight booking platform Albaset suffered a significant data breach affecting approximately 2.2 million users. While the full database contained millions of records only a subset representing about ten percent of the total volume was publicly released on hacking forums. The incident involved the exposure of sensitive user credentials and technical identifiers. Security analysts confirmed that the leaked data originated from a compromise of the websites backend database allowing unauthorized access to registered member information.
