In April 2023 hackers from the NLB group released a database belonging to Alfastrakhovanie a major Russian insurance company affiliated with Alfa Bank. The initial leak contained approximately 1 million records while the threat actors claimed to possess a total of 14 million records. The breach involved sensitive personal details of clients including names contact information and hashed credentials. The incident was part of a larger series of cyber attacks targeting Russian financial and insurance institutions during that period.
