Alpmarathon

In October 2022 the Russian sports event management platform Alpmarathon.ru experienced a data breach that exposed personal information of its participants. The incident resulted in the unauthorized disclosure of a database containing records for approximately 13 thousand users. The exposed data included personal identifiers and contact details as well as security credentials. The leak was discovered after the database was found to be accessible to unauthorized parties potentially due to a misconfiguration or a direct server compromise. This incident poses risks of phishing and credential stuffing for the affected athletes and organizers.
