The incident led to the exposure of personal information for approximately 55000 registered members. The compromised data included user email addresses, usernames, and IP addresses. Security researchers noted that passwords were stored as MD5 hashes with salt, which are considered vulnerable to modern cracking techniques. The breach allowed unauthorized access to the forum user base, potentially leading to credential stuffing attacks on other platforms where users might have reused the same credentials.
