In September 2022 the Russian home goods distributor Antares Trade experienced a cyber security incident resulting in the exposure of sensitive customer information. The breach compromised approximately 9 thousand user accounts and over 116 thousand order records. Investigations suggest the leak originated from a database compromise where attackers managed to extract personal details and transaction history. The data set includes names and contact numbers along with hashed or plain text credentials which poses a risk of unauthorized access and phishing attempts for the affected clientele.
