In May 2021 the Ukrainian online retailer AntiStress which specializes in imported footwear suffered a data breach. The incident resulted in the exposure of customer information including names and email addresses. Technical analysis revealed that the leaked database contained IP logs and passwords stored as MD5 hashes without salt making them vulnerable to decryption. The leaked data set appeared to be cluttered but contained around ten thousand unique customer records that were subsequently published online by threat actors.
