In July 2023 two large files containing personal information from the Artek International Children Center were exposed on a public forum. The breach included highly sensitive records of both children and their parents or legal guardians. The data set contains approximately 1.5 million rows and appears to have been obtained through unauthorized access or an insecure database configuration. The incident is considered high risk due to the involvement of minors and the depth of personal identifiers leaked including government issued identification numbers and contact details.
