In late 2022 a data breach involving the digital platform Askarasoft was identified and published online. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 7000 users. The leaked dataset included sensitive details such as full names, email addresses, phone numbers, and physical addresses. Additionally security credentials were compromised as the database contained user passwords stored as MD5 hashes with salt. The breach appears to have originated from a database compromise allowing unauthorized access to the internal records of the platform.
