In August 2023 the Russian insurance company Astrovolga suffered a significant data breach involving a database of approximately 1.3 million unique records. The incident exposed sensitive personal information of policyholders including full names contact details and detailed vehicle information. The data appeared on various dark web forums indicating a compromise of the company infrastructure. This breach poses risks of identity theft and targeted phishing attacks against the affected customers.
