Atletic Food a Russian sports nutrition retailer suffered a significant data breach in March 2024. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 190000 user records. The compromise included two main database tables containing sensitive customer information and transaction details. Security researchers identified that the breach likely occurred due to a vulnerability in the web infrastructure allowing unauthorized access to the backend database. The leaked data included hashed passwords using SHA1 with salt which are considered weak by modern security standards. Additionally the leak exposed payment and delivery details providing a comprehensive profile of the affected customers.
