In March 2023 the Russian automotive platform Auto-Azimut suffered a data breach resulting in the exposure of its user database. The incident involved the unauthorized acquisition and subsequent publication of customer information. The leaked records include personal identifiers and technical metadata which could be used for targeted phishing or social engineering attacks against car buyers in the region. The scale of the breach is estimated at approximately 23 thousand unique user entries. Security researchers identified the data on various underground forums where it was distributed as a text file containing structured information about the site clients.
