In October 2024 a significant data breach involving the French vehicle inspection network AutoSur was reported after a database appeared on a well known hacking forum. The security incident resulted in the unauthorized exposure of sensitive client information stored within their systems. The leak includes personal details of customers who utilized their automotive technical inspection services across France. The data appears to have been exfiltrated due to a vulnerability in their web infrastructure allowing threat actors to access backend records containing over one million entries.
