AzanaHotel.id

In July 2021 the Indonesian hotel reservation platform AzanaHotel.id suffered a data breach resulting in the exposure of over 45 thousand user records. The incident involved the unauthorized access to a database containing personal identifiable information and booking details. Security researchers identified that the leaked data included sensitive customer profiles and transaction history. While passwords were stored using SHA512 and SHA256 hashing algorithms the exposure of contact details and payment information presents a significant risk for targeted phishing and social engineering attacks against the affected customers.
