Bankir.ru

In January 2020 a significant data breach occurred at Bankir.ru which is a prominent news and financial information agency. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 40000 user records. The compromised information included sensitive details such as user nicknames email addresses dates of birth and IP addresses. Additionally password hashes stored using the MD5 algorithm with salt were included in the leak which poses a security risk to registered members. The data was discovered on underground forums where it was shared among threat actors.
