Battlefy

In January 2016 the esports tournament platform Battlefy experienced a data breach that resulted in the exposure of approximately 83000 user records. The incident involved the unauthorized access to a database containing sensitive user information. The exposed data included email addresses, usernames, and passwords hashed with the bcrypt algorithm. This leak posed a risk to users who reused passwords across other platforms. The breach was later identified and added to historical breach databases to notify affected individuals.
