In early 2021 the Singapore based beauty and cosmetics platform Believe.sg suffered a significant data security incident. The breach resulted in the exposure of sensitive consumer information from their database. Investigations into the incident suggest that unauthorized access was gained through a vulnerability in the web infrastructure allowing attackers to export user records. The exposed data included personal identification details and contact information of customers who had registered on the platform for purchasing halal cosmetics and personal care products.
