A significant data breach occurred at BestMebelShop.ru, a prominent Russian online furniture retailer. In August 2024, a threat actor published a SQL database dump on a dark web forum. The compromised data includes personal information belonging to approximately 100000 registered customers. The leak contains sensitive details such as full names, residential addresses, email addresses, and mobile phone numbers. Additionally, the dump includes user passwords stored as salted MD5 hashes. The incident appears to be the result of a successful SQL injection or unauthorized database access, exposing the entire customer base to potential phishing attacks and account takeovers.
