In late 2012 the Russian medical portal My Favorite Childrens Doctor known as bestpediatr.ru suffered a significant security breach. The incident involved unauthorized access to the web servers database resulting in the public exposure of sensitive patient and visitor information. The leak included approximately 40000 user logs with contact details and activity timestamps. Furthermore over 3400 medical reviews were compromised which linked specific patient names and phone numbers to their private feedback about pediatricians. This breach highlighted critical vulnerabilities in the platforms data protection measures during that period.
