In late January 2023 the threat actor group known as NLB leaked a significant database belonging to the Best2Pay payment processing service. The incident resulted in the exposure of over one million records containing sensitive financial and personal details. The breach originated from an unauthorized access to the company internal systems allowing the attackers to extract transaction logs and client information. This exposure poses a high risk for phishing and financial fraud as it includes specific payment card details and transaction history.
