BioBigBox

In February 2022 the HIPAA compliant file storage and transfer service BioBigBox suffered a data breach. The incident led to the exposure of sensitive user information from its database. The compromise involved approximately 51 thousand registered users. Data was extracted from the systems and later surfaced in the public domain. The breach included authentication details and contact information which could be used for unauthorized access or phishing attempts against the affected medical and professional users.
