In September 2023 the Chilean company Biopla which specializes in biodegradable materials for construction and agriculture suffered a significant data breach. The incident led to the exposure of nearly one million records from their database. The leaked information includes detailed customer data such as full names email addresses phone numbers and physical addresses. Additionally sensitive corporate data was compromised including tax and VAT identifiers along with comprehensive order histories containing product descriptions and order statuses. This exposure poses risks to both individual privacy and corporate confidentiality for their business clients.
