Bitmax

In November 2018 the cryptocurrency trading platform Bitmax experienced a significant security incident resulting in the unauthorized access of user personal information. The breach impacted approximately 160000 customers. The compromised data set included sensitive details such as full names, email addresses, and IP addresses. Furthermore, the incident exposed identity documentation including passport certificates and precise geographical location data of the affected users. This leak posed a serious risk to the privacy and security of investors on the platform during that period.
