Boesner

In March 2019 the French decorative and applied art store Boesner experienced a significant data breach affecting 78500 users. The incident involved the exposure of sensitive customer information including full names and physical addresses. Technical analysis revealed that user passwords were stored using the weak MD5 hashing algorithm without any salt making them highly vulnerable to brute force attacks. The leak likely originated from a vulnerability in the stores web platform or an unsecured database exposure.
