In June 2023 the Russian online bookstore Book24 suffered a significant data breach attributed to the NLB hacking group. The incident originated on May 29 2023 when unauthorized access to the company database resulted in the exfiltration of customer information. The leaked data was subsequently shared on public forums as a text file containing approximately 4 million records. This breach is part of a series of attacks targeting Russian retail and e-commerce platforms during this period. The exposed information includes personal contact details and account metadata which poses risks of phishing and social engineering for the affected users.
