Borealis

In 2018 the Russian Minecraft server network known as Borealis suffered a significant security breach resulting in the exposure of its user database. The incident led to the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information for approximately 351 thousand registered players. The data was stored and subsequently leaked in an unencrypted format allowing third parties to access private credentials without technical barriers. This breach highlights common vulnerabilities in private gaming community servers where security measures often lag behind commercial standards.
