A data breach involving Bounty.chat occurred in early 2024 when an unsecured database was discovered and subsequently circulated on darknet forums. Bounty.chat was a platform for video chat with rewards. The exposed information includes user account details and communication metadata. The breach resulted from a lack of proper authentication on a cloud storage instance that allowed unauthorized access to internal user tables.
