In early 2024 a significant security incident involving the Dutch data broker BreachedData surfaced. The breach exposed a massive collection of personal information sourced from various Dutch platforms and databases. The data was allegedly offered for sale on underground forums after an unauthorized access event or misconfigured storage allowed third parties to scrape and download the records.
