In June 2023 the Belarusian online retailer Buslik specializing in products for children suffered a significant data security incident. An unauthorized party gained access to the customer database resulting in the public exposure of approximately 223 thousand user records. The compromised data included personal identifiers and security credentials specifically names phone numbers email addresses and passwords stored as salted MD5 hashes. This breach poses risks of credential stuffing and phishing attacks for the affected customers of the ecommerce platform.
