Carusale.ru

Carusale.ru is a Russian online platform specializing in car inspection and verification services for prospective buyers. In May 2023 an unauthorized data exposure occurred affecting the platform. The incident resulted in the compromise of approximately 5 thousand user records. The leaked dataset included personal identifiers such as nicknames and full names alongside contact details like email addresses and phone numbers. Additionally dates of birth and passwords stored as MD5 hashes with salt were part of the breach which significantly increases the risk of credential stuffing and identity theft for the affected users.
