CashToYou a prominent Russian microfinance organization suffered a massive data breach in December 2023. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 13 million records containing highly sensitive personal and financial details. The leaked database includes extensive information about customer employment status income levels and loan history. Notably the leak also contains links to scanned identity documents and photographs of customers which significantly elevates the risk of identity theft and financial fraud. The breach appears to have originated from an insecure database or a direct cyberattack on their infrastructure.
