cBANK

In 2022 a massive database named cBANK was offered for sale on underground forums containing approximately 400 million records including usernames and passwords. Analysis revealed about 260 million unique entries. Although the collection title suggests a financial institution the data is actually a large scale combolist compiled from various sources. Sellers reportedly manipulated password casings and added synthetic data to increase perceived uniqueness. This collection is distinct from the Central Bank incident reported in March 2022 and represents a significant credential stuffing risk.
