In June 2023 the threat actor group known as NLB leaked a database belonging to the major Russian bookstore chain Chitai Gorod. The incident occurred as part of a series of attacks targeting large retail entities. The exposed data includes customer personal details such as email addresses, phone numbers, full names, dates of birth, and physical locations. Additionally, the breach revealed internal loyalty program information including discount card numbers. The data was made publicly available on various underground forums and Telegram channels as a result of an unauthorized access to the company database.
