In April 2022 the B2B marketing intelligence platform Clearbit suffered a data breach involving a significant number of records. The incident exposed sensitive professional information from their database. The scale of the leak included approximately 918 thousand unique records. The compromised data primarily consisted of professional contact details and social media identifiers which are often used for lead generation and corporate enrichment. While the specific technical vector of the hack was not fully disclosed public analysis suggests an unsecured interface or API vulnerability allowed unauthorized access to their internal data stores during this period.
