In August 2019 the Brazilian event ticketing platform Clube Do Ingresso suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of approximately 85 thousand users. The incident involved the exposure of a database containing sensitive user details. The leaked data included full names, gender, dates of birth, email addresses, and CPF numbers which are Brazilian individual taxpayer identifiers. Additionally, user passwords were leaked in an insecure MD5 hashed format, making them vulnerable to cracking attempts. The breach significantly impacted users of the platform by exposing their personal identification and security credentials.
