About this leak
In late 2016 the popular Russian Minecraft server Cristalix experienced a significant security breach. An unauthorized party gained access to the backend database resulting in the exposure of approximately 72800 user records. The compromised data included user email addresses nicknames and passwords stored using the SHA1 hashing algorithm with a salt. This incident surfaced during a period of high activity for the server and was later followed by a separate security event involving their mobile platform in 2019.
