In January 2024 a data breach occurred involving the Russian cruise travel portal CruiseTips.ru. The incident resulted in the unauthorized disclosure of approximately 9 thousand order records and 1 thousand user accounts. The leaked dataset contains personal identifiers including contact information and technical logs such as IP addresses. The breach appears to stem from a vulnerability in the platforms database management system allowing external actors to extract sensitive client details and booking history.
