In 2023 hackers targeted the official website of the State Customs Service of Ukraine. The resulting data leak contains approximately 340000 records dating up to 2019. The breach exposed sensitive information regarding cross border movements including full names of passengers passport details and contact information. Additionally the database includes vehicle specific data such as VIN numbers company names and detailed text comments describing the cars and cargo involved in the customs process. While the total record count is high the number of unique individuals affected is estimated to be lower due to multiple entries per person or vehicle.
