In July 2019 the gaming community website D3Scene suffered a significant data breach affecting nearly one million users. The incident involved the unauthorized access and extraction of the vBulletin forum database. The leaked information included sensitive user credentials and personal details. This was not the first time the site was targeted as it previously experienced a security breach in 2016. The compromised data was later circulated in the hacker community exposing users to credential stuffing and phishing attacks.
