In January 2021 the Daily Quiz service also known as Victorin suffered a significant data breach. The incident led to the exposure of personal information belonging to millions of users. The leaked dataset was subsequently published online and contained sensitive details including plain text passwords. This breach highlights the risks associated with storing credentials without proper cryptographic hashing and the vulnerability of online quiz platforms to automated exploitation or database misconfigurations.
