In early 2019 the Ukrainian dance portal dancer.kiev.ua suffered a data breach that exposed its user database. The incident resulted in the compromise of sensitive personal information belonging to thousands of community members. The leaked data originated from the website backend and was later circulated in the public domain and specialized forums. Security analysis suggests the breach occurred due to vulnerabilities in the forum software or outdated web server components which allowed unauthorized access to the customer tables.
