The Russian Minecraft gaming community platform Darkhvh experienced a significant security breach on May 24 2023. An unauthorized party managed to compromise the server database resulting in the exposure of sensitive user credentials. The incident exposed approximately 45000 player records including unique identifiers and network information. Most critically the leak included passwords stored in plain text format which poses a severe security risk to users who reuse credentials across other platforms.
