Deezer

Deezer music streaming service confirmed a massive data breach affecting over 240 million unique users. The incident originated from a security compromise at a third party service provider that handled Deezer data. A backup file from mid 2019 was exposed and subsequently shared on a popular hacking forum. The leaked dataset contains sensitive personal information including email addresses, usernames, gender, dates of birth, and geographic locations. While passwords were not part of this specific snapshot, the large volume of email addresses and IP data poses a significant risk for targeted phishing and credential stuffing attacks against the global user base.
