Desteria

In late 2016 the popular Minecraft server network Desteria suffered a significant data breach. The incident involved the unauthorized access and extraction of the user database from its forum system. The vulnerability allowed attackers to gain access to sensitive member credentials. The breach exposed millions of accounts including private user details and hashed passwords which were subsequently shared within the hacking community and gaming forums. This event highlighted the security risks associated with large gaming community platforms running older forum software versions.
