In September 2014 the gaming server DeviousPk suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of approximately 5700 users. The incident involved the unauthorized access and extraction of the community database. The leaked data originated from a vBulletin forum system where passwords were stored using salted hashes. This breach is typical of private game server vulnerabilities during that era where forum software was often targeted to gain access to player credentials and associated accounts.
