The incident involved the unauthorized access and extraction of a database containing sensitive user information. The leaked data originated from the servers authentication systems and forum platform. Security researchers identified that the breach likely occurred due to vulnerabilities in the legacy server software or a compromised administrative account. The exposed records include player identifiers and cryptographic hashes of passwords which could be used for credential stuffing attacks across other gaming platforms.
