About this leak
In February 2017 the mobile restaurant discovery application Dojo suffered a data breach that exposed information belonging to approximately 761000 users. The incident resulted in the compromise of a database containing user email addresses full names and passwords stored as MD5 and BCRYPT hashes. Investigative reports indicated that while the total record count reached over seven hundred thousand only about 300000 were unique and verified email addresses with the remainder being automatically generated system entries. The breach highlighted vulnerabilities in mobile application backend security during that period.
