In August 2022 the Russian regional internet service provider Domconect suffered a cyberattack that resulted in a significant data breach. The leaked information primarily consists of customer interaction history and technical logs associated with support tickets. While the database contains a massive volume of over 2 million unique telephone numbers linked to service requests the exposure of individual customer names was limited according to initial analysis of the dumped files. The breach highlights vulnerabilities in telecom support infrastructure and potentially exposes users to targeted phishing or social engineering attempts via their mobile numbers.
