Domkont.ru

A data breach involving the Russian housing services platform Domkont.ru was identified on February 6 2024. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 840 user records. The leaked information originated from a compromised database containing sensitive personal details and technical identifiers. Hackers managed to extract user profile data including full names and contact information alongside system specific data such as post history and comments. Security analysis revealed that password hashes were stored using insecure MD5 algorithms making them highly vulnerable to cracking. The leak also exposed internal metadata and IP addresses of the registered users.
